Love, Good Character, and Service Are the Keys to Winning Hearts, Says Chairman Supreme Council at Student Leaders’ Meeting

Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has said that moderation, consultation, and balance are among the fundamental qualities of leadership. A true leader, he noted, is essentially a servant who empowers others by transferring his knowledge, experience, and skills, thereby building a strong and capable team.

He stated that leadership is not about power, status, or authority; rather, it is the art of winning hearts through trust, character, service, and exemplary conduct. He expressed these views while addressing the Central Movement Executive Meeting organized by the Mustafa Students Movement Pakistan at the Central Secretariat.

Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the Straight Path (Sirat al-Mustaqim) is, in essence, the path of following the noble example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, whose blessed life presents humanity with a perfect and practical model of leadership. He emphasized that a successful leader possesses insight, wisdom, foresight, and the ability to accurately assess circumstances. A person who learns to be an excellent follower develops the capacity to become an outstanding leader in the future.

Describing loyalty, perseverance, and steadfastness as indispensable conditions of leadership, he said that only those who remain sincerely committed to their mission, purpose, and leader ultimately reach their destination. The journey of leadership requires patience, consistency, and continuous struggle. A genuine leader, he said, focuses on responsibility and effort rather than merely on results and seeks solutions to challenges with positivity and gratitude instead of complaining about adverse circumstances.

The Chairman Supreme Council further remarked that exercising control over people through position, wealth, or authority does not constitute true leadership. Real leadership is winning hearts through love, a smile, good manners, and service to humanity. He identified service, sincerity, steadfastness, and loyalty as the foundations of Prophetic leadership and urged workers to always prioritize their commitment to their leader, mission, and purpose.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mustafa Students Movement Central President Sheikh Farhan Aziz welcomed the central leadership, zonal presidents, and representatives of universities and colleges. He said that the Mustafa Students Movement is playing a significant role in the intellectual, moral, and organizational development of the younger generation.

During the meeting, zonal office-bearers of Mustafa Students Movement Pakistan presented performance reports from their respective regions. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri also distributed special shields to central leaders, zonal presidents, district and tehsil office-bearers, and workers who demonstrated outstanding performance and distinguished services.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Engineer Muhammad Rafiq Najm (Deputy Secretary-General for Organizations), Sheikh Farhan Aziz, Usama Mushtaq, Colonel (R) Khalid Javed, Rana Waheed Shehzad, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, Rana Tajammal Hussain, Chaudhry Zia-ur-Rehman, Mian Ansar Mahmood, Syed Faraaz Hashmi, zonal presidents, representatives of universities and colleges, as well as a large number of district and tehsil-level office-bearers and workers.
