Different ceremonies including students’ conventions, peace marches and workshops are taking place across the country to celebrate the 29th foundation day of Mustafavi Students Movement (MSM). The celebratory events were held at more than twenty places in Punjab, ten places in Sindh as well as in Gilgit-Baltistan.
MSM central leadership and a large number of students belonging to different educational institutions attended the gatherings that were held in Sargodha, Bhakhar, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Khanpur, Dera Gazi Khan, Layya, Lodhran, Multan, Gujranwala, Lahore, Matri, Degree, Thal, Jacobabad, Larkana, and Kashmore, etc.
Addressing these gatherings, central MSM President Sheikh Farhan Aziz said that MSM is a students’ movement working for the promotion of love, harmony, tolerance and dialogue. He said that the struggle of MSM is aimed at character building of the young generations and promoting a culture of knowledge in the educational institutions. “The journey of peace, love and knowledge has been continuing unimpeded for the last 29 years,” he said.
Sheikh Farhan Aziz said that MSM has always taken practical steps for the guidance of the youth and the student community in the light of the vision of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that MSM has shown the youth the path to a purposeful life, adding that the struggle of MSM spanning about three decades is a beacon of light for the youth in general and the students in particular. He said that MSM has helped the students polish their talent and focus on their academic pursuits. “They have emerged as ambassadors of peace, and love,” he added.
MSM central President said that the students and the youth are the future of the nation. He said that it is important that they continue to be shown the right path so that their energy is spent on productive activities. He said the objectives for which MSM came into being are being realized.
Rashid Mustafvi, Ali Qureshi, Shahid Mustafa, Usma Mushtaq, and other student leaders attended these ceremonies.
